Mesacol 400mg Tablet DR is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Including Ulcerative Colitis, Inflamed Anus or Rectum, Maintain Remission in Crohn’s Disease

Side effects of Mesacol 400mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Mesacol 400mg Tablet DR are –

Fever
Sore Throat or Other Flu Symptoms
Constipation
Headache or Dizziness
Mild Nausea
Vomiting
Stomach Cramps
Diarrhea
Gas
Tired Feeling
Skin Rash

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Do not use Mesacol 400mg Tablet DR if you are allergic to – Mesalazine/Mesalamine
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Mesacol 400mg Tablet DR.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

Do not use Mesacol 400 mg Tablet DR on advice of a friend or family. Similarly, do not give it to someone you feel has the same symptoms.
